What do you want to do?
Choose where the cryptocurrency is now and where it needs to go. Then check the costs, network, destination, and final status.
Choose by your goal
You do not need to learn every possible cryptocurrency task. Choose the guide that matches where the funds are now and where they need to go.
If you have not created a wallet yet, begin with setting up a personal wallet. If cryptocurrency is already in a wallet you control, use the payment or transfer guide.
Three common starting points
I have not bought cryptocurrency yet
First create a personal wallet. Then buy and receive cryptocurrency in that wallet. This route gives you control before you make the final payment.
If a trusted recipient has supplied complete payment details and the purchase provider supports external destinations, you can instead buy directly to the recipient's wallet. Read that guide's additional warning before deciding.
A vendor is holding my cryptocurrency
Use withdraw from a vendor to a personal wallet. A purchase is not finished just because a balance appears in the vendor account.
Cryptocurrency is already in my personal wallet
Use pay from a personal wallet when a person or business has given you a payment request. Use transfer between wallets when you control both wallets or are moving funds without paying an invoice.
The same safety rule in every transfer
Before money moves, check the currency, network, full address, any required destination tag or memo, amount, fees, and the recipient's current confirmation. Sender and recipient must use the same network.
Never rush because someone says a payment must happen immediately or asks you to ignore a wallet warning. Stop and verify the request through a trusted channel.
Start with an amount you can afford to lose
When you are learning a new wallet, provider, network, or destination, try a small amount first when fees and minimums allow it. About 5 USD or 5 EUR worth of cryptocurrency may be enough to confirm that you understand the route without putting a larger amount at risk.
Wait until the test arrives, then check the currency, network, address, identifier, amount, and fee again before sending more. A test transfer reduces uncertainty but does not make the next transfer automatic.
Not sure which guide fits?
Read how purchases and payments work for a short overview. If you already know the exact currency and network you need, use the purchase selector on the home page to find a route that ends at an external wallet.
