Write down the exact currency and network in the sending wallet. Confirm that the receiving wallet supports that same combination.
Use these steps to move funds to a new personal wallet, between your own devices, or to another person's wallet outside a purchase. If the transfer is paying an invoice, use the payment guide so recipient confirmation and records are handled in context.
Open the receiving wallet and choose Receive for the exact currency and network. Copy the address or display its QR code. Include any destination tag or memo shown by a hosted wallet.
If both wallets are yours, label them clearly before copying anything. Do not copy an address from old transaction history because it looks familiar. Generate or confirm the destination from the current receiving screen.
Open the same currency and network in the sending wallet and choose Send, Transfer, or Withdraw.
Check the available balance and fee currency. An Ethereum token transfer normally needs ETH for gas. A TRC-20 token transfer uses Tron resources and may need TRX. The wallet should show the current requirement before approval.
Scan or paste the receiving address. Compare the result across the full address. Enter the destination tag or memo in its separate field when required.
Choose the amount. If you want to move the full balance, read how the wallet handles the network fee and any minimum balance or account requirement. Send all may leave a different received amount than the balance you first saw.
A small test can confirm a new route before moving a larger amount. It adds another network fee and takes additional time, so decide based on the value, unfamiliarity, and network cost.
A successful test does not make the final transfer automatic. Generate or confirm the destination again and repeat every check for the remaining amount.
Use the seven-detail checklist above on the final screen. If you control both wallets, recipient confirmation means comparing the receiving screen yourself. If someone else controls the destination, ask them to confirm it is current.
Approve only when currency, network, full address, identifier, amount, and fee match. Save the transaction reference after submission.
Open the receiving wallet and wait for the transfer to appear. Compare its amount and transaction reference with the sending wallet.
Allow the required network confirmations. Do not delete or reset the old wallet until the full amount has arrived, the new wallet is secured, and its recovery information has been protected.
- The receiving wallet shows the correct currency on the intended network.
- The amount matches after the network or withdrawal fee.
- The sending and receiving records share the same transaction reference.
- The receiving wallet's recovery information is secure.
- Any old wallet is kept intact until you are certain the move is complete.
If the transfer is pending, check its transaction reference and the sending wallet's official fee guidance. Do not submit the same transfer again without confirming the first failed.
If the network record says confirmed but the receiving wallet is empty, compare the destination and network, then ask the receiving wallet's official support channel to rescan or investigate the account.
If you sent to an incorrect destination or network, contact the person or service controlling that destination immediately. Do not share recovery information with anyone offering to reverse or retrieve the transfer.
