TronLink is a self-custody wallet focused on the Tron network. It is available as Android and iOS apps and as a browser extension.
This website covers two TronLink payment routes:
- TRX on Tron;
- USDT on Tron (TRC-20).
The same wallet can display both, but TRX and USDT remain different currencies. Check which one the recipient requests.
Start at the official TronLink installation page. TronLink tells users to install its mobile apps through the linked app stores and its extension through an official browser store. Check the listed developer and website rather than using an advertisement or third-party download page.
TronLink's official installation page also warns users to protect private keys and mnemonic recovery words. No support agent needs either one.
Create a new wallet in private and record its mnemonic or other recovery information exactly as instructed. Store it offline and away from the device.
A local password protects the app or extension on that installation. It does not allow the wallet maker to restore lost recovery information, and it does not protect funds if someone learns the mnemonic or private key.
Tron uses network resources called bandwidth and energy. Sending TRX primarily uses bandwidth. Interacting with a TRC-20 token such as USDT also uses energy.
If the account does not have enough available resources, Tron can burn TRX to cover the transaction cost. The amount can change with the transaction and network conditions. Keep enough TRX available and review TronLink's estimate before sending USDT.
Do not assume a USDT balance alone is enough to make a later payment.
USDT exists on several networks. In TronLink, confirm that the token is USDT on Tron and that the recipient requested TRC-20. Do not send to an Ethereum-only USDT destination.
TronLink can display custom TRC-20 assets. A token using a familiar name or symbol is not automatically the genuine token. For a normal USDT payment, use the established token shown by the wallet and verify the details against official sources rather than adding a contract supplied by a stranger.
The wallet can connect to decentralised applications and other services. Connecting a site can disclose the wallet address, and approving a contract can grant permissions over tokens.
You do not need to connect the wallet to an unknown site to receive TRX or USDT. Use the ordinary receive screen. Reject unexpected signing or approval requests.
TronLink may fit when you need a wallet focused on TRX or TRC-20 payments and want the app to show Tron network resources directly.
It is not a wallet for BTC on Bitcoin, ETH or USDT on Ethereum, LTC on Litecoin, or XRP on XRP Ledger.
