What Nexus Wallet is

Nexus Wallet is the Litecoin Foundation's current self-custody mobile wallet for Android and iOS. It replaced the older Litewallet applications and is designed around everyday Litecoin use.

Its focused design makes it easier to avoid choosing the wrong currency or network when the required route is LTC on Litecoin.

Payment route covered here

Nexus Wallet covers LTC on the Litecoin network. It is not a multi-currency wallet and should not be used for BTC, ETH, USDT, XRP, or TRX.

Use its normal Litecoin receiving screen when a recipient or purchase provider needs an LTC address. Optional private-payment and merchant features are separate from a standard Litecoin transfer.

Installation and recovery

Start at the official Nexus Wallet website and follow its mobile-store links. The Litecoin Foundation's old Litewallet repositories now direct users to Nexus, so do not install an abandoned Litewallet copy from an unofficial source.

Create and back up the wallet in private. Keep its recovery information offline and never give it to in-app purchase providers, support contacts, or someone asking you to make a payment.

Sending a standard Litecoin payment

Open the recipient's request and confirm it says LTC on Litecoin. Paste or scan the Litecoin address, compare it with the original, enter the amount, and review the network fee.

Litecoin supports multiple valid address formats. Let the current app validate the full address rather than judging it from the first character alone.

Optional services and privacy

Nexus includes optional buying, selling, merchant, Tor, and private Litecoin features. Some purchase or conversion functions involve third-party partners with their own fees, availability, data collection, and terms.

Private-transfer features require additional understanding and recipient compatibility. Do not select them for an ordinary payment unless both sides support the same method.

When it may fit

Nexus may be the clearest choice in this directory when the only required route is LTC on Litecoin and you want a current mobile wallet maintained by the Litecoin Foundation.

Choose a broader wallet if you need several currencies in the same app.
