Select Litecoin in both the sending and receiving wallets. Do not treat Bitcoin and Litecoin destinations as interchangeable, even when a wallet interface makes them look similar.
Open Litecoin in your personal wallet and choose Receive. Copy the address shown for the Litecoin network or present its QR code. State the full route, LTC on Litecoin, when sending the address to someone else.
Litecoin supports more than one address format. Let your current wallet generate and validate the address rather than trying to identify the network from its first character alone.
Paste or scan the recipient's address, then compare the result with the original. Enter the LTC amount and read the network fee shown by your wallet. The network fee is paid in LTC and is separate from any purchase-provider charge.
A normal Litecoin transfer does not use a separate destination tag or memo. If a hosted recipient displays an extra instruction, follow it exactly or ask the service to explain it before sending.
The transfer appears as pending until the Litecoin network records it. The recipient may require one or more confirmations before accepting the payment. Use the transaction reference from your wallet to follow its status.
Do not assume a fixed completion time. Network conditions and the selected fee can affect how quickly a payment is confirmed.

- The receiving address came from the recipient's Litecoin screen.
- The pasted address matches the original.
- The LTC amount is correct.
- You have reviewed the LTC network fee.
- You know what confirmation status the recipient expects.
Litecoin transfers are normally irreversible. Pause if the recipient's network label is missing or if your wallet warns that the address does not match.
