Trezor model support differs. Full iPhone transaction signing is available with Trezor Safe 7; other models can require desktop or Android for signing.

What Trezor is

Trezor is a family of hardware wallets. The physical device protects the keys and confirms transactions. Trezor Suite on desktop, web, or supported phones displays accounts and prepares the transaction for the device to approve.

You must buy a genuine Trezor device and complete more setup than with a software-only wallet.

Trezor documents direct Trezor Suite support for:

  • BTC on Bitcoin;
  • ETH on Ethereum;
  • USDT on Ethereum (ERC-20);
  • LTC on Litecoin;
  • XRP on XRP Ledger, on supported Trezor models.

Trezor devices can support additional assets through model-specific or third-party integrations. This page does not list Tron routes because they are not part of the same straightforward native Suite flow documented for the combinations above.

Model and phone differences

Check both the currency and Trezor model before purchasing. Some currencies, including XRP, are available only on certain models.

Trezor Suite works on desktop and the web. Mobile transaction signing depends on the phone and device model. Trezor states that Safe 7 provides full iPhone functionality, while other models can require desktop or Android for signing.

Setup and recovery

Buy through Trezor or an authorised seller and start from the official Trezor Suite page. Initialise the device yourself. Do not use a device that arrives with a PIN or wallet backup already prepared.

Write down the wallet backup shown during setup and keep it offline. Entering that backup into an ordinary website or support form defeats the protection of the hardware device.

Verify on the hardware screen

Before receiving, compare the address shown in Trezor Suite with the address displayed on the Trezor device. Before sending, verify the destination, amount, and fee on the device screen, not only on the computer.

For ERC-20 USDT, use the Ethereum account and keep ETH available for gas. For XRP sent to a hosted service, include any destination tag supplied by the recipient.

Third-party wallet apps

Trezor can connect to other wallet apps. The keys remain on the device when the integration is used correctly, but the other app can introduce different interfaces, network rules, privacy practices, and signing requests.

Beginners should prefer the direct Trezor Suite route unless a supported currency specifically requires another app.
